8. hội an, vietnam

market life

spent all our time in the pretty tourist town of hoi an the central market. nice open structure with both eatery and fresh produce sections. the food stalls were so delcious. the shake shop here served one of the best avocado shakes in the whole wide world.

pho on the top.

next two are bún thịt nướng(rice noodles with grilled meat). this dish was so delicious it’s still one of the only vietnamese words i remember to this day.

big photo below is cuốn banh tráng, a take on korean yakiniku but oh so much more delicious. note the brown rice paper.

bale well

one of the best meals of the whole year-around-the-world trip happened in this small restaurant called bale well. fresh ingredients, new/exciting flavours, and all within a backpackers budget. we would reminisce of this restaurant for years to come.
